Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought several social impacts, one of them being unemployment. Some aspects may be associated with job loss, highlighting the region of the country and the worker's characteristics, such as gender, age, education level, marital status, and having children. Objective: to verify the association between job loss and country region, sex, age, education level, marital status, and having children, in Brazilian workers in the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: this is a cross-sectional study with workers from different occupations. Data were obtained through an online form (Google Forms) from June to September 2020. Data analysis will be performed descriptively and through binomial logistic regression analysis in the SPSS program to identify the association between a loss of employment and the region of the country and characteristics of the worker. Expected results: It is expected to find a significant association between job loss and the investigated variables. (AU)
