Abstract

In this study, the Amazon River prawn (Macrobrachium amazonicum) will be our experimental model, this species is a highly relevant crustacean for Brazilian and world aquaculture, being consumed as food, and utilized in aquariums, experiments, etc. We aimed to assess sedative and calming doses of essential oil of clove plant for this species. As direct effects of clove oil, we will evaluate how these substances affect behavioral indicators of sedation whether there is mortality, and at what rate.(AU)
