Among the surface treatment proposals for dental implants, the treatment by laser irradiation, although recently used, shows promising results. Applying the laser modifies titanium surfaces creating a complex topography with micro and nano-scaled patterns, it can also be used in an associated way for forming surface coatings such as apatite, in an attempt to improve the adhesion of the bioactive material to the substrate. Thus, the purpose of this study will evaluate the influence of laser irradiation on the adhesion of a coating of hydroxyapatite (HAP) in Ti-6Al-4V discs, as well as perform comparatively the physicochemical characterization of the formed coatings. 20 titanium discs (Ti-6Al4V) will be used (n=10) (Ø 8mm × 3mm thick): G1- coating of hydroxyapatite; G2 - Er: YAG laser treatment + hydroxyapatite coating. The adhesion of PAH coatings will be analyzed by scratch testing. in both groups will be carried out analyzes of topography and chemical composition, through Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy of X-rays (EDS), and analysis of the crystalline phases of the mineral coating by Diffraction X-rays (XRD). The results will be submitted to parametric or nonparametric analysis, according to the data distribution (±=0.05). (AU)
