The research project to be developed during the period of the BEPE grant at the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, INP-Grenoble, at the "Laboratoire d'electrochimie et de physico-chimie des matériaux et des interfaces", LEPMI, is focused on complementing the electrochemical characterization of recently developed metallic alloys, such as (Fe0.25Co0.25Ni0.25Cr0.125Mn0.125)100-xBx (x = 9, 10, 11, 13), to be used as optimized coating applications. Other alloys of the same type, will also be considered; such as Fe62Cr8Mo4Nb4B18C4, which was the alloy originally planned to be studied in the research project of the IC student. Such alloys are being designed to improve corrosion resistance or to balance the corrosion and wear resistance even after partial crystallization. During the period of research, the student will be able to learn new electrochemical techniques and to interact with LEPMI researchers who are considered to have excellent expertise in electrochemical characterization.
