Abstract

Ceratosauria is a group of theropod dinosaurs with broad chronologic and geographic distribution. More commonly found in the Southern Hemisphere, ceratosaurs originated in the Jurassic and diversified until the end of the Mesozoic. The knowledge about the group has increased significantly in the last years, but there are still many gaps, especially regarding evolutionary, biogeographic, and paleobiologic patterns. This project is based in the University of São Paulo's Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters at Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP-USP), Brazil, and aims to investigate the evolution of Ceratosauria based on various techniques, including phylogenetic systematics, morphometry, and biogeography analyses. The project will include national and international partnerships; the results will be published in high-impact international journals and also divulgated to a broad audience. (AU)
