Studying dark energy via the integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect

Abstract

We propose here a scientific initiation project centered on the study of the relation between dark energy and the so-called Integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect. The student must master the physics behind this relation through a study program in General Relativity and Cosmology, and at the end be capable of theoretically calculating the crosse correlation signal between CMB temperature maps and galaxy contrast maps, the latter correlation being inducted by the Sachs-Wolfe effect.
