Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the means by which the Argentinian and Brazilian governments influenced the creation of non-governmental ST&I networks between 1980 and 2020 in light of the advances and setbacks of Mercosur. Latin America's peripheral position in the studies about scientific diplomacy urges the inquiry of how state actors influence non-state actors in creating ST&I initiatives. This research will use the qualitative method of analysis through primary sources. Therefore, will be collected and classified all the agreements between Argentina and Brazil in the area of S&T to understand the coordination role of these countries. Thus, it is seeking to be found a correlation between the role of state actors and the influence of Mercosur.(AU)
