Abstract

The work plan described here aims to present a proposal of the activities to be developed during the postdoctoral stage at the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo. The project proposes the development of wearable sensors through the integration of low cost carbon electrodes with mouth guards, in order to monitor possible levels of abuse drugs in saliva. These sensors are already used successfully for real analysis of various analytes of clinical and forensic interest, but their use in the determination of abuse drugs is still a wide area to be explored. In addition, the post-doctorate stage will allow the exchange of knowledge in the use of different detection systems and also in the learning of new manufacturing processes of these devices, since the laboratory in which the internship will be carried out has all the necessary infrastructure to carry out the work.
