Abstract

The proposal is to produce cerium phosphate (CePO4) and polypropylene (PP) nanocomposites via extrusion in different percentages of additive. The composites will be later exposed to UV-C radiation, varying the time and dose of radiation. The raw materials and the obtained systems will be evaluated with respect to their morphological, thermal, and chemical properties (SEM, TGA, DSC, FTIR, and parallel plate rheometry). It is intended to obtain with this proposal a set of results that allow the correlation between matrix properties after incorporation with UVC radiation resistance.(AU)
