Abstract

In this project, we intend to analyze to what extent the material Self-corrective Workbooks: Fractions, developed by a team from the Teaching Residency Program of the Licentiate in Mathematics course at Unicamp, contributes to a better conceptual understanding of fraction-related contents, allowing the overcoming of the most prevalent misconceptions. We intend to develop this analysis in the sense of concept encapsulation, from the point of view of Dubinsky's Action-Process-Object-Schema (APOS) theory, with a special focus on overcoming misconceptions, based on known studies on the subject.(AU)
