Abstract

This theoretical-conceptual research is focused on the articulation and analysis of notions of identity that guide a sense of well-being. The insertion of the person in the group and the uniqueness of each individual with their history will be important indicators to map the concept of identity that supports this investigation. Anchored in a decolonial perspective, the method of this research is based on a scope review of African epistemologies that articulate notions of identity and well-beign to identify the main sources and types of evidence available in international scientific publications, in order to build a theoretical-conceptual synthesis based on a framework little explored by the field of Psychology. With this project, the aim is to demarcate non-Eurocentric theoretical logics in the production of knowledge and in the teaching of Sciences, disseminating epistemologies based on African cultures and ancestry that contribute to the curricular diversification that guides the professional training of the psychologist, perhaps collaborating to produce a positive identity of black students and to expand their possibilities of completion and permanence in higher education.
