Abstract In this project we will study different nonlinear interactions in photonic systems. We will begin the studies with nonlinear interactions based on the coupling between optical and mechanical modes. We will explore different systems and materials in order to obtain regimes close to the strong interaction regime in these systems. Other non-linear interactions that are typical of cavities and integrated guides, such as thermal effects, Brillouin scattering, four wave mixing and others can also be considered and studied concomitantly.
