Abstract

This research project for the internship abroad aims to complement the ongoing research (FAPESP 2020/15120-5) on the urban practices regarding the reconfiguration and the reclaiming of streets related to the urban-political debate about the future of Elevado Presidente João Goulart. Through the understanding and analysis of applying the urban assemblage approach based on the Actor-Network Theory to the European context, it will be possible to deepen our knowledge of assemblage urbanism and broaden our perspective of local analysis, identifying comparable characteristics and dissonances between North and global South urban controversies' investigations. The research will be carried out by the case study approach, through the participation in ongoing activities in Professor Dr. Ignacio Farías' research group, technical visits to their empirical objects of study, in addition to interviews with professors and researchers of the German group. We intend to develop a qualitative analysis of the data, the interviews and the researcher's experience abroad, tracing a parallel between our object of inquiry and our local urban specificities and their experiences and their background in assemblage thinking.
