Abstract

This project proposal aims to analyze the way in which religious actors linked to evangelical churches are encouraged to apply for Brazilian child and youth care councils. The analysis will focus on recognizing the Brazilian child and youth care councils as a field of dispute under construction. Considering this institution as an arena that deals with issues related to the family, we will seek to identify the family configuration that has been defended in these guidelines, and then analyze whether this configuration is linked to christian values and the concept of "christian family" as conceived by evangelical religions. It is in this direction that the research proposes to understand how this articulation is being made, what are the mobilized means, the actors involved and the narratives triggered. (AU)
