Abstract

In a previous part of this work (see TT3 proposal #2), we aimed to analyzed trees and soil attributes of forests undergoing secondary succession. The motivation to do this was to understand more about the potential of natural regeneration in different ecoregions within Brazilian Atlantic Forest (BAF), to use its conduction as a method for large-scale forest restoration. It is very important to understand about the dynamics of those forests. Therefore, the aim of this scholarship is to continue the work started at the TT3 proposal #2 and to measure attributes of trees that were recently recruited, two years after the first inventory. Soil attributes will be measured again, as well. Data acquired will be analyzed.
