Abstract

The practical-experimental research and qualitative approach aims to perform an immersion in the methodological proposal Teatro do Oprimido created and disseminated by the director and playwright Augusto Boal (1978), through sessions/workshops of the Theater of the Oppressed for 6th year students of the elementary school II and Secondary Education in public schools participating in the Project Observatory for Human Rights in Schools (PODHE) to understand and problematize the oppressive relationships present in everyday life (whether in school, family or community) and to glimpse the necessary confrontations for the exercise of citizenship in the face of to the violation of rights. The workshops will be held Weekly for 6 months lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes and recorded through pictures, videos, andfield notebooks. It is noteworthy that the representations of violence staged by theparticipants will be used as data for the analysis of the research interlocutions with the bibliographic production of the center for the Study of Violence at USP, placing the theater as an answer to social questions and as a possibility to analyze conflicts and present alternatives.
