Abstract

The Lentinula edodes mushroom (shitake) is of Asian origin and has attracted the attention ofmany researchers due to its nutritional properties. The commercial production ofshiitake in Brazil is carried out in sawdust-based substrate, being a system ofhigh investment cultivation, due to the need for sterilization. on account ofclimate change in recent years, mushroom growers have been noticing agreat productive variability during the different seasons of the year. has already been reportedby the literature that the environmental variables (temperature, humidity andrainfall) influence fruit set and morphological characteristics ofmushrooms. With this, it is intended to elucidate in this project the agronomic behaviorof the shiitake mushroom grown in two chambers with different environmental influence,starting from a cultivation in a semi-controlled chamber (temperature and humidity control)for cultivation in a controlled chamber (humidity control, temperature, CO2, O2). It will beused different strains for being an important tool to characterize thesensitivity of the genetic material to these factors. At the end, it will be evaluated to parametersagronomic: productivity, biological efficiency, average mass, number of mushrooms,precocity, time to first flow and production rate, as well as theenvironmental variables at the place of cultivation. The strains used will also bemolecularly characterized through DNA extraction and sequencing, and at thefinal deposited with GenBank. The results will be subjected to analysis byvariance and the means compared by the Tukey test, under the level of 5% of significance.
