Development of pre-sprouted sugarcane seedlings subjected to stress by water deficit and different levels of vinasse

Abstract

This work aims to evaluate the impacts of using different concentrations of vinasse on pre-sprouted seedlings (MPB) of sugarcane under water-stress conditions. We will experiment in a greenhouse at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, with CTC 9002 pre-sprouted cane seedlings, under a statistical design of split-plot, randomized blocks, with three blocks (replications) and six plots divided into six subplots (36 experimental units). We will submit the sugarcane variety to two levels of soil water depletion (plots: p = 50%, and p = 70%) and six treatment levels of vinasse doses (subplots: doses equivalent to 0; 30; 60; 90; 120; and 150 m3 ha-1). The parameters used in the analysis of the experiment will be: (a) leaf temperature; (b) plant height; (c) stem diameter; (d) leaf area; (e) the number of tillers per plant; (f) chlorophyll content in the leaves; (g) production of fresh and dry shoot biomass; and (h) production of root biomass. At the end of the experiment, we expect the scholarship holder to incorporate all the processes of agricultural experimentation in greenhouses and obtain information to support decisions on the use of vinasse in pre-sprouted sugarcane seedlings. , both in field experiments and commercial production areas.
