Abstract

The decision to repair or replace composite resin restorations on anterior and posterior teeth may be affected by the patient's aesthetic demand. The objective of the study will be to compare the evaluation of composite resin restorations of anterior and posterior teeth, by patients, using the visual examination, through the mirror, with the examination by intra-oral scanning. Composite resin restorations will be evaluated using the International Dental Federation (FDI) Criteria, initially the patient will be evaluated by visual examination through a mirror and, after a period of one week, the same restoration will be examined using the intraoral scan. According to criterion 10, the patient assigns a score of 1 (acceptable) or 2 (unacceptable). Data will be evaluated with descriptive statistics and Cohen Kappa test.
