Abstract

The guarantee of Food and Nutrition Security (FNS) of the population is fundamental for thefull realization of the Human Right to Adequate Food (HRAF). In Brazil, FNS comesshowing a downward trend in recent years, giving space to a growing panoramaof Food Insecurity (FI), further aggravated by the circumstances of theCovid-19. Ending poverty and hunger and promoting sustainable agriculture are goalsof the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and, in this perspective, the analysis of thepopulation's FSN situation needs to include different dimensions, which are bestrepresented by sets of indicators that encompass the complex network for determining thepoverty and hunger. Therefore, the development and application of methodologies to evaluate theFSN is important for understanding its association with different factors, especiallywhen considering sustainable development as an essential part of guaranteeing this rightfundamental. This research project aims to carry out a multidimensional assessmentof the food and nutrition security situation in Brazil in the context of developmentsustainable. A survey of indicators will be carried out, subdivided into four dimensionsmain: nutritional; health; demographics and sustainable development (social, economic and environmental). After survey and selection, the indicators will be standardized toorder to unify its unit of measurement and normality and sensitivity tests will be carried out to check the influence of each indicator, individually, on the final model. Will also beCorrelation tests were carried out to assess the levels of correlation between the differentindicators; and regression analyzes to assess their relationship with the FNS, for the 26states and the Federal District. For the spatio-temporal evaluation stage, maps will be generatedfor the period from 2000 to 2021 and, for the analysis of the spatial correlation, the index will be calculated by Moran Global (IMG). With the indicators added to each of the dimensions, it will be proposed a multidimensional evaluation index of the FNS for the Brazilian population.
