Abstract

The project aims at preparing the student to work on the Quark Gluon Plasma, a new form of matter created in heavy ions collisions at the large accelerators LHC at CERN in Switzerland and RHIC at BNL in the United States. The plan fosters theacquisition of computational tools (solving hydrodynamic equations numerically) anddeepening of physics knowledge (fluid mechanics, relativity, particle physics, statistical physics).
