Abstract

Thinking about the purpose of the school, its actions and concrete conditions for the construction of quality is an essential aspect if we want to improve school processes. School-university collaboration, in this bias, is an important strategy in the collaborative production of knowledge and action. The involvement of different actors in teaching, research and extension activities is configured as a promising space for data production, professional training, planning and mobilization of actions in/by the school collective. A movement fed back by the process of reflection and shared responsibility, the search for the construction of a socially referenced quality is configured, in the present proposal, both as a trigger and as the purpose of the action. Based on a research agenda that started in 2010, the theme of school processes analyzed from external and internal factors to the school assumes a new delimitation. Understanding the social quality that requires a multidimensional evaluation process, poses the challenge of, on the one hand, understanding the organization of pedagogical work situated in the objective conditions of the school and, on the other hand, building a partnership that enhances local processes. Guided by the perspective of collaborative research, the project aims to analyze whether and how the school organizes its pedagogical work in relation to the objective conditions it has and what changes when a collective work group is proposed and implemented to reflect on the dimensions of social quality.Methodologically, we propose the development of collaborative research with a school in the municipal network of São Carlos-SP from the proposition of a collective work group, theinformation collection strategies will be guided by participant observation, semi-structuredinterviews and analysis of the records produced from the working group.
