Abstract

As a result of one of the aspects of the postdoctoral research Pharmaceutical education in 19th century Brazil (nº 2022/06767-0), this research internship abroad aims to examine the Portuguese medical-pharmaceutical literature that was used by students of pharmacy in Brazil, mainly until the middle of the 19th century. The idea, therefore, is to investigate this set of documents, which are under the custody of Portuguese institutions, and to prepare small texts about their contents and their authors, in order to use such information in the Bibliographic Guide for the History of Pharmacy Teaching in Brazil 19th century Brazil - main product of the aforementioned post-doctoral research. In other words, the intention is to consult the works of Portuguese authors who also competed with the instruction of pharmacists in Brazil at that time. (AU)
