Abstract SUMMARYIntroduction: The imune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a autoimmune disorder that is characterized by the isolated low count of platelets without a alternative diagnosis. If the pacient doesn't responds or resists to the glucocorticoid treatment is necessary to perform a splenectomy. This procedure has good outcomes and a long lasting effect in its majority, however, it can lead to thrombotic and infectious events in the long term. After the splenectomy, the risk for thrombotic embolism venous in patients with ITP seens to elevate, although, without apparent reason or cause.Objectve: The objectve of this study is to assess if there is a increase of thrombotic events in pacients with ITP and who underwent the splenectomy.Materials and methods: It will be accomplished a cohort study, retrospective and multicenter, with pacients with a ITP diagnosis and that were evalueted between 2005 and 2021. It will be analysed as a closure the requency of thrombosis in ITP in pacients who did the splenectomy in comparison with the ones that didn't. | |
