Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the incidence of patellofemoral pain (PFP) in the general adult population. A multicenter prospective study will be carried out to answer this objective. Asymptomatic individuals will be followed for 2 years to determine the incidence of DFP. Monitoring will be carried out in three cities in the state of São Paulo (Presidente Prudente, São Carlos and São Paulo) and two cities in the United States (Toledo and Storrs). Incidence data will be reported in total number of cases and percentage relative to the total number of participants.
