Abstract

The state of São Paulo is served by 7 distribution companies in the captive market for electricity supply, each with its own billing model for consumption and demand. This results in the need for customized data extraction for each of them. In addition, the Government of the state of São Paulo owns 16.2 thousand properties, comprising 24 different typologies and profiles among the consumption units (UCs), such as schools, police stations, prisons, etc. The purpose of this project is to map the energy consumption data of buildings in the Public Lighting category in the state of São Paulo by creating a database. Based on this database, a mathematical model will be created using programming language scripts (Python, R, etc.) to predict the consumption for the next month/year. As the model develops, data such as temperature and rainfall patterns in the region will be analyzed and eventually included in the modeling process to improve its accuracy. If new equipment is installed, we will seek to determine the impact on consumption. Additionally, data generated herein will be incorporated into the "BI Platform for visualization of public agencies electricity billing data", contributing to future management plans and providing useful information for energy contracting (free market) and/or suggesting a change in group/billing model (captive market) for these institutions.
