This project aims the study of the production of heavy quark hadrons from the perspective of thermal models in order to evaluate if there is any evidence of the thermalization of these particles in the medium formed in collisions between relativistic heavy ions. The study of the production of hadrons from a thermodynamic approach has raised interest in several fronts, especially regarding the hadronization of the medium formed in these collisions. The possible observation that charm and beauty quarks behave similarly to lighter quarks during hadronization may reveal an intricate mechanism of thermalization of these particles within the formed medium.
