Abstract

The Scientific Initiation student will follow the management routine during the calf rearing phase of Nelore calves, as well as blood collection and weighing at birth and weaning and performance of carcass ultrasonography at weaning. In addition, the student will be in charge of helping to perform metabolomic analysis of the serum of these calves in order to understand the animal metabolism, evaluating the metabolic pathways that correlate with performance and muscle deposition of calves during the calving period, and also to write scientific abstracts for publication.
