Abstract

In this project, we are going to develop analysis methods and explore the CTA data toimprove our understanding of the acceleration mechanisms in Galactic and Extragalacticsources. The underlying questions are related to the mechanisms generating thehighest energies of eletromagnetic and charged particles observed in nature.Among the pletora of source types to be measured by CTA, we have chosen the PeVatrons andAGNs as targets of this project because of their importance in the overall understanding ofparticle acceleration in the Universe but also because our experience with this types of sourceswill give us leadership in these studies. Compact objects, such as pulsars, SGRs/AXPs, andfast-spinning white dwarfs are also going to be in our target within CTA's Galactic PlaneSurvey. These sources shows very anomalous emission and understanding its mechanims willhelp to solve the details of particle acceleration in other enviroments.
