Abstract Insubordinate constructions show marks of subordination, but they occur independently, according to Evans (2007). Hirata-Vale (2015) showed that insubordinate conditional constructions (ICC) have different functions, such as the se ao menos type, in which there is a fading of the conditional meaning and the emergence of the semantics of desire. This is reflected in the association of morphosyntactic patterns and lexical elements, as discussed by D'Hertefelt (2015) in a typological work on these constructions in Germanic languages. The author defines these ICCs as uncontrolled deontic constructions, as they refer to a desire beyond the speaker's control. D'Hertefelt (2015) proposes the subtypes potential, irealis and counterfactual, which are related to the (im)possibility of fulfilling these desires and are evidenced by different temporal-mode markings. In BP, however, it seems not possible to state that there are these three types, but some uses, such as ironic desires, are recurrent and are not documented in D'Hertefelt's typology (2015). Starting from the particularities of Portuguese, through Collostructional and Cluster Analysis, allied to manual classifications, data on the form of construction will be investigated to see how they reflect in the sense of desire, as foreseen by the Grammar of Cognitive Constructions (GOLDBERG, 1995). The analysis will start from 4023 occurrences of the Corpus do Português (DAVIES; MICHAEL, 2006) and tweets to describe the meaning of the construction, specific uses of BP, subtypes of the CCIs and their respective placements, aiming to build a typology that expands the proposals of D 'Hertefelt (2015) on Germanic languages in order to understand the uses of BP. | |
