Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the number of doses and manufacturers of vaccines against Covid-19 and the reduction of deaths among the elderly. This is a cross-sectional and analytical study. In this study, deaths due to Covid-19 of elderly people (over 60 years old) in the state of São Paulo, from February 25, 2020 to February 25, 2023, will be considered. age and sex will be carried out on the website of the State System of Data Analysis Foundation and the data regarding vaccination will be obtained on the Vaccinômetro COVID-19 page of the Ministry of Health, collecting the variables: gender, date of vaccine, manufacturer, age. The collected data will be entered into a matrix for analysis in Microsoft 2016. The variables will be analyzed in a descriptive and bivariate way, through Spearman correlation analysis with a significance level of 5%, in the R Studio Program. This research does not require consideration by the Research Ethics Committee, as the data are available in digital media and are publicly accessible.
