Abstract

Biomaterials are fundamental and innovative role in Dentistry, mostly in Oral Rehabilitation, due to the search for an ideal bone substitute. Although the performance of some of thesebiomaterialsis satisfactory with good osteoconductive properties, there isessentialto improve these products, which can be done through the addition of biomolecules that can improve their properties and optimize bone repair. The purpose of this project will be to evaluate, through biomechanical and microtomographic analysis, the benefits of Biogran®, in the process of bone repair in peri-implant defects, in ovariectomized rats. For this study, 40 randomized and ovariectomized female rats will be divided into 4 groups: OVX CLOT (negative control - clot),OVX BG (Biogran® in natura), OVX BGS (Biogran® sonicated), OVX BGS+GEN (Biogran® sonicated with genistein). A bilateral peri-implant defect will be made in the tibial metaphysis of the animals. After 28 days of installation of the implants, euthanasia and analyzes will be performed. The data will be submitted to a normality curve to determine the appropriate statistical test in the GraphPad Prism 7.03 software, adopting a significance level of P < 0.05.
