Abstract

Written by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, Anti-Oedipus: capitalism and schizophrenia 1 [1972] is a political philosophy book that aims at a materialist critique of the concept of the unconscious and, as such, criticizes capitalism in its accounting axiomatization of desire. Karl Marx is, in this sense, the main ally of the book, inserting it in a Marxist, or Freudian-Marxist tradition, with which the authors dialogue, but are not limited to. Despite their affiliation with Marxism, Deleuze and Guattari problematize the concept of ideology. Faced with this apparent paradox, our research project has the general objective of analyzing the problematization of the concept of ideology carried out by Deleuze and Guattari in O anti-Oedipus, in order to contribute to the sociological debate about the concept of ideology, as well as to studies about Marx's influence over Anti-Oedipus. Our research will therefore consist of an exegetical analysis of the book, its references and other auxiliary bibliographies.
