Abstract

In the scientific-technological context, the development of forensic analysis methodologies, proposed here for an IC internship at CENA/USP for undergraduate Gabriel da Silva Ramos, will make it possible for the intern to have access to fundamental inferences for investigations and resolutions of environmental crimes and illegal trade in biological products, clarifying aspects of criminal conduct, such as the origin of the trace or material seized through techniques developed in the CENA/USP laboratories. As the National Institute of Criminalistics of the Federal Police (DF) is a participant in the project, the intern will also understand the role of the link between academia and the federal police, in order to understand how technologies developed under the coordination of CENA/USP can be readily used in criminal cases associated with the traceability of wood derived from illegal deforestation in the North region, with an emphasis on the state of Pará.The Center "Forensic Metrology and Traceability in Agro-environmental Quality - MRFor", recently created with support from CNPq, is one of the main agents in the development of new agro-environmental technologies, focusing on the development of technologies and technical-scientific knowledge in an innovative way and effective in the application of natural sciences. Bringing together researchers from different areas, the project aimed to understand the most diverse factors that encompass the problem of human agro-environmental impact and development. His studies are focused on the development and application of technologies for the preservation and monitoring of natural resources, especially those originating from tropical ecosystems, presenting themselves as a tool of vital importance to the current Brazilian situation.
