Abstract

Introduction: Human breastfeeding is a process that has benefits that go beyond thebeyond the nutrition of infants, so that breastfeeding (BF) can promotepositive impacts both for the infant, for the person who breastfeeds and even for theeven for the society. However, it is necessary to train professionalsbased on scientific evidence, because breastfeeding is a political act and of social responsibilityand social responsibility, so the pregnant woman needs support from her family, health professionalsfamily, as well as health professionals and society, in addition to the development andpublic policies aimed at the protection, promotion, and support of breastfeeding.breastfeeding. Thus, it becomes evident the need to evaluate possible strategies andstrategies and resources to be used in the promotion of this practice. Objective:To evaluate a training strategy for breastfeeding promotion in prenatal care,developed by a university extension project on human breastfeeding.Methodology: This is a qualitative, exploratory research with the elaboration of semi-structuredsemi-structured interviews with undergraduate students, using the saturation sampling technique.The saturation sampling technique was used.
