Abstract

In response to the growing global demand for food due to rapid population growth, it is imperative to increase agricultural production and productivity. To face this challenge, new technologies capable of monitoring agricultural productivity are relevant. Wearable sensors are considered a valuable tool for this purpose, as they can facilitate monitoring plant health and controlling food quality. In this context, in this project we propose the development of thin film transistors (TFTs) for use as wearable sensors to monitor plant health and food quality. Project objectives include characterizing paper substrates, evaluating transparent conductive oxides, synthesizing MXenes and GQDs, and evaluating their performance in wearable sensors to monitor plant health and agricultural analytes. This research aims to develop innovative, low-cost and sustainable solutions for agriculture and food security control.
