Abstract

Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) are a group of debilitating diseases, mainly prevalent in tropical areas, which affect more than one billion people globally. This meta-epidemiological study aims to evaluate the sources of information utilized by Cochrane systematic reviews regarding the effects of interventions or diagnostic strategies for neglected tropical diseases to determine wheter local and regional databases were considered during the search for primary studies.
