Abstract

Nowadays has been observed a huge vaccine hesitancy among children and adolescents and the lack of knowledge and access to false information is one of the reaons to it.There is a lack of materials of vaccine with educational purpose for parents and families. The main of this study is to elaborate and validate an informative manual on vaccination forparents and families of children and adolescents. This is a Methodological research that will be developed in 3steps: the first will be a bibliographic review on the subject and the elaboration of theinformative material; the second will be the validation of content and appearance byexpert judges; and in the third the appearance validation will be carried out byrepresentatives of the target audience. For validation by expert judges, it will be selected according to their performance, experience and specialization in the areaand the representatives of the target audience will be parents/relatives of children andadolescent users of Primary Care Units. For validation, the Experts and representatives of the target audience will answer ainstrument elaborated from the content and illustrations of the manual. Aftercompletion of the instrument, which will have a Likert response scale ranging from"1" (total disagreement) to "4" (total agreement), responses will be analyzed bycalculating the Content Validity Index (CVI) which will be the sum of theanswers 3 (partially agree) and 4 (completely agree) divided by the numbertotal number of responses, admitting a CVI greater than 80%. It is expected that, through this study, a quality manual on vaccines with language accessible be elaborated.
