Abstract Despite the high rates of psychological distress in adolescents, which have been demonstrated in recent epidemiological studies, it is observed that few studies focus on this problem from the perspective of the adolescents themselves and in a contextualized way, considering the main circulation scenarios of this population. In ongoing participatory research with adolescents on mental health in a public school, from which this proposal emerges, it was observed that, from the perspective of the participants, one of the factors related to the production of mental health is welcoming (welcoming and feel welcomed). In this way, the present research proposal aims to produce concepts about reception from the perspective of adolescent students at a state public school. The aim is to carry out qualitative research, of an exploratory and participatory nature. Participants will be teenage students from a state school, aged between 10 and 19, who take part in the role of "welcoming student" in the Integral Education Program of the State of São Paulo. Adolescents will be invited to participate in group meetings to discuss the topic of reception based on a collaborative process, through creative strategies, verbal and non-verbal communication. Data production will be carried out through four stages: planning, initiating the proposal, execution and dissemination of the work. The data will be recorded in a field diary. With the investigation, it is expected to contribute to the consideration of the school as a powerful space for actions to promote the mental health of adolescents, as well as possible ways to guarantee spaces for participation and protagonism of these subjects. | |
