Abstract This research project aims to investigate the effects of production of memories and forgetting's through the relations between human beings and non-human beings in Maputo, capital of Mozambique. It takes as an object the spiritual agents' performances and rituals. Through a relational approach, it takes the hypothesis that the relations between human beings and non-human beings, such as spiritual entities and various material elements that form entangled and spiritual memories, producing various political and social effects. Among these effects, stand out the materialization of memories through the objects and rituals; the reinforces of sociability ties or social conflicts and ruptures; and the uses of memories as weapons in the political and religious conflicts in Mozambique.
