Abstract

The objective of this project is to investigate the constitutionalization of the right to Education, seeking to understand the reason why this was one of the first social rights to be recognized as a fundamental right. We maintain that the guarantee of Education is related to the ideological foundations that legitimize liberalism and the classical rights related to it (political and civil). This project is linked to the Jovem Pesquisador (JP) project and will adopt the tools and methodologies developed by it, including the database produced by the CSSM, to which contributions are expected based on the findings of this research. This is a proposal compatible with students beginning their career as researchers, as it introduces fundamental practices to scientific research, such as the appropriate construction of research designs and conceptual and theoretical foundations as a condition for the production of empirical studies.
