Abstract

This research aims to analyze how it is possible to relate the concept of the Game and the social function of the work of art for Benjamin, taking as a guiding thread the conceptual analysis of "second technique" (Zweite Technik) and "mimesis". By establishing such a relationship, it will be possible to envision an argumentative line indicating that the Game influences art of the time as it becomes associated with playfulness, amusement, and interpretive action, thereby promoting an emancipatory character in art.
