Abstract

The luminescent signal of pure and silver-doped sodium borate glass matrices will be studied, aiming for its application in the dosimetry of ionizing radiation. Furthermore, the investigation of the formation of nanostructures in the matrix will be carried out using different heat treatment protocols, varying time and duration. The study of its luminescent response in relation to dose will be carried out using the techniques of Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) and Thermoluminescence (TL). Such as the study of the Photoluminescent (PL) signal for applications in Radiophotoluminescence (RPL) dosimetry. In the Fluorescence spectra, the aim is to verify the bands due to the Ag centers and matrix components. The TSL/OSL/RPL Automated and Integrated Measurement System (TORAIMS) equipment, available only at the Okada Laboratory, will be used for luminescent measurements. Furthermore, the origin of the luminescent signal will be investigated.
