Abstract

This doctoral research proposal is part of the Organizational Capabilities for Preparation for Extreme Events (COPE) project, which is supported by Fapesp. The theme of the doctoral research centers on the perception of risk communication carried out by public management and communities, considering the dimensions of gender, age and people with disabilities. The research will use questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and focus groups to be carried out in three municipalities in the Paraíba Sul River Basin (small, medium, and large), with public managers and members of the respective communities. The project relates to the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and the UN Sustainable Development Goals 11 and 13. (AU)
