Abstract

Training in CNC machine operation and CAM software, all already existing at LAPRAS. Train the scholarship holder to become familiar with the CAM machines and programs to be used in the project. Part design to study both processes. The hybrid process includes AM made by the ROMI machine, with subsequent HSM _ High Speed Machining machining, or manufacturing/repair directly in the machining center. The two sequences have important particularities regarding the piece and the referencing system, as well as other aspects. Monitoring the manufacturing of DED parts. The designed part will be manufactured in the desired shape for machining experiments. Manufacturing will take place using the hybrid machine with the Hybrid Mfg system directly coupled to the machining center. Preparation of the set-ups. The scholarship holder will prepare, with the help of the Mechanical Technician, the machine, fixing devices, tools, NC programs and everything else necessary to carry out the HSM tests. Layout and machinability experiments. The student will follow the preparation made by the LAPRAS Mechanical Technician and the carrying out of the experiments. Analysis of results and monitoring of other trials. Given the results experimental findings and existing theories and proposed models, the fellow and the researchers will analyze the data. Reports. The scholarship holder, under the guidance of the researcher, will prepare reports in a scientific manner and with all the rigors of academic language. Bibliographical Research: The scholarship holder will be constantly updating themselves through existing publications in the area.
