Abstract

Intrusion detection is monitoring events that occur in a system to identify intrusions. An intrusion within this project's scope is defined as an attempt to compromise the availability of IoT services. The Post-Doc fellow involved in this project will act in the modelling, detecting and mitigating denial of service attacks in the network and application layers in IoT environments. As a result, a Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) will be developed that will have its performance evaluated in several realistic DoS scenarios in IoT environments. (AU)
