Abstract

Risk management and speed of response to natural disasters is an emerging issue in Brazilia urban centers, given the increase in their occurrence as a result of the advancement of anthropogenic systems and the intensification of extreme weather events, to this end, integration is necessary from multiple areas of knowledge and application of different tools for analysis, mitigation and reconstruction in the face of these events. With this scenario in mind, the research aims to apply instruments from watershed morphometry and modeling to characterize the physical environment in identifying susceptibility to flood events through the application of geomorphology in a GIS interface, analyzing multiple conditions of these natural events , in order to support decision-m king in preventing the exposure of populations to danger in the municipality of Ubatuba - SP.
