Abstract

The research analyzes the science and technology used in Andean textiles from the poetics of the artist Sandra De Berduccy/Aruma and the research of Denise Y. Arnold and Elvira Espejo (2013, 2019, and 2019). Thus, this study intends to present the expressions changes in this work over time and how these tissues are found in contemporaneity. For this, a bibliographic survey will be carried out, and a set of analyzes of Sandra Aruma's artistic productions and the discussions and contributions that Denise Y. Arnold together with Elvira Espejo brought to this area. Interviews will also be carried out with indigenous immigrants or children of indigenous immigrants from the Bolivian community in the metropolitan region of São Paulo that contribute to issues involving the Bolivian community that is found mainly in the city of São Paulo. Many of these immigrants find outside their communities or live in an urban context and in some cases even alienated from its roots. These are people who have had to immigrate from their community or who have already they lived in an urban context in Bolivia and later immigrated to another country. In the process of integrating different cultures, the present technologies can have an importance in the construction/resumption of the identities of these people, mainly for the indigenous people who live in the metropolises.
