Abstract

Currently dentistry has increased the search for dental materials with pleasant esthetics and excellent mechanical properties. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK-Plenum) and glass-fiber reiforced polymer (ZANTEX) are comercial examples of new polymeric materials for oral rehabiliations. This project aims to test the strenght bond between lithium dissilicate and the above mentioned polymers using sandbasting or a self-etching single component primer (Monobond Etch& Prime- Ivoclar Vivadent). This study also aims to investigate the cumulative falilure probability of after step-wise stress fatigue testing of lithium dissilicate cemented to Peek and fiber-glass reiforced Polymer. The data will be submitted to Anova 2-Way or post-hoc de Kaplan Meier and Log-Rank Mantel-Cox tests (p<0,05).
