Abstract

The detection of electronic signals in the frequency domain is widely used to infer the quantum noise of the light present in the light. This characterization is done by a series of optical and electronic processes like balanced detection. In this project, we will address one of these steps: demodulation, which converts the high-frequency electronic signal to low frequencies before they are acquired in analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).
